Comments from Obituary:  Richard David Mann, 60, of Palatka, Florida, died Sunday, March 27, 2004 after a long illness at Arlington House Assisted Living Facility. He was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Jacksonville, Florida where he was prominent in football and track. His best high school times were 9.8 seconds in the 100 yard dash, 21.5 seconds in the 220 yard dash, and 48.4 seconds in the 440 yard dash. He served his country as LCPL in the Marines and received the Purple Heart for injuries received in Vietnam.
