UT Track:  1965–1969; Sprinter (100, 200, Long Jump); SEC Champion -- Indoor Long Jump (1968); SEC Place Winner -- Indoor Long Jump (4th in 1967, 4th in 1969); Outdoor Long Jump (3rd in 1967, 2nd in 1968).
Military Service:  1970–1972, 1970–1972, US Army; SGT E-5, Basic Training, Ft Knox, KY, March - May 1970 (Trainee of the Cycle Award); Advanced Training and Permanent Duty Station, Ft Polk, LA, May 1970 - March 1972
MOS:  03C20, Recreation Specialist
Post-UT Track:  Won 4th & 5th Army Long Jump Championship in June 1971 at Ft Hood, TX and was selected to the All Army Track Team.
Comments:  Looking back on my time in the Army, I think my track experience taught me to work hard, obey orders, be resourceful, and be a good team player.
